The program France-Wallonia-Flanders: French and Belgian regions working together across borders!
The European-Territorial Cooperation Program Interreg France-Wallonia-Flanders originated from the will to encourage economic and social exchanges between the four border regions: the Hauts-de-France and Grand Est regions in France; Wallonia and West and East Flanders in Belgium. The program aims to combine common expertise while strengthening the potential of each region concerned.
A total amount of EUR 170 million from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) will be allocated to the program to support projects that are consistent with the 4 themes of the cooperation:
- research, innovation and technology transfer
- competitiveness of SMEs
- patrimony, natural resources and risk management
- social cohesion, health, education and employment
